The staff supplied will depend on the organisation’s requirements and the availability of suitably qualified and experienced workers.
Can I request temporary or long-term staff?
This can include planned cover, ongoing staffing requirements, increased demand and other situations where an organisation needs additional care personnel.
Can I request a specific type of care worker?
This allows us to assess which available staff are most suitable for your organisation.
How quickly can CareBrix provide staff?
For emergency staffing, we aim to respond within 24 hours, subject to availability. Where possible, we recommend that organisations plan staffing requirements in advance.
What are your staffing rates?
These are starting rates rather than fixed rates. The final rate can vary according to location, role, experience, care requirements, shift pattern and current market conditions.
How do I request staff?
The form allows you to provide information about your organisation, staffing requirements, location, start date and urgency so that we can assess the request properly.
What happens after I request staff?
If you decide to proceed, the required agreement must be signed and the agreed payment arrangements must be in place before staff are deployed.
Do I need an agreement before staff can be supplied?
This applies to both planned and emergency staffing. Having the agreement in place ensures that both parties understand the staffing arrangements, rates, responsibilities and payment terms.
Will CareBrix invoice my organisation?
The commercial arrangements will be agreed before staffing begins, so the organisation understands the applicable rates and payment obligations before staff are deployed.
We are not looking for subcontractors to work underneath CareBrix.
What is subcontracting?
For example, a larger care provider may have received a contract or additional care workload but may not have enough internal capacity to deliver all of it. Instead of turning work away, they may subcontract part of the work to another suitable care provider such as CareBrix.
In this arrangement, CareBrix provides the agreed care service and staffing under a formal subcontracting agreement.
Is CareBrix looking for subcontractors?
We are looking to take on subcontracted care work from care providers, agencies and organisations that need additional capacity to deliver their existing workload or contracts.
This is particularly relevant to organisations that have more care work than they can comfortably manage with their existing workforce.
Who can benefit from subcontracting work to CareBrix?
Subcontracting can benefit care providers and organisations that have additional work but do not have sufficient staffing or operational capacity to deliver it themselves. For example, an organisation may have:
- A local authority contract with more work than its current workforce can manage
- New packages of care that it needs to deliver
- Additional clients or placements
- A temporary shortage of suitable staff
- Expansion into a new area
- Increased demand that its existing team cannot accommodate
Subcontracting can allow the organisation to take on or retain work while using CareBrix to support delivery.
What types of care work can CareBrix take on through subcontracting?
CareBrix can consider subcontracting arrangements involving:
- Domiciliary care
- Live-in care
- Supported living
Our main focus is expected to be domiciliary care subcontracting, where another provider has care packages or contracted work that they need additional capacity to deliver.
Each opportunity would be assessed individually to ensure the work is suitable for CareBrix to undertake.
How does a CareBrix subcontracting partnership work?
If the opportunity is suitable, the organisations agree the scope of the subcontracted work, responsibilities, staffing arrangements, commercial terms and other requirements. A formal subcontracting agreement is then put in place.
Once the agreement is active, CareBrix can provide the agreed care services and staffing for the work covered by that agreement.
What is the difference between subcontracting and using CareBrix for staffing?
A staffing solution is generally used when an organisation needs additional individual staff to support its own workforce. For example, a care home may need two additional care workers for a particular shift or period.
Subcontracting is different. It is where an organisation gives CareBrix an agreed piece of care work or service delivery responsibility under a formal subcontracting agreement.
In simple terms:
- Staffing solution — “We need additional staff.”
- Subcontracting — “We have care work to deliver and need another organisation to help us deliver it.”
When would an organisation consider subcontracting to CareBrix?
For example, a provider may receive additional care packages from a local authority but not have enough available staff to deliver them.
Rather than refusing the work or struggling to maintain capacity, the provider could discuss subcontracting part of the workload to CareBrix.
Does CareBrix provide emergency staffing through subcontracting?
Emergency staffing is designed for organisations that need individual staff at short notice. Subcontracting is a planned business-to-business arrangement where there is an agreed scope of work and a formal subcontracting agreement in place.
Subcontracting therefore requires proper planning, assessment and an agreement before the work begins.
Who is responsible for the work under a subcontracting agreement?
The agreement should establish matters such as the scope of services, staffing responsibilities, compliance requirements, communication, quality expectations, reporting and commercial arrangements.
This ensures both organisations understand their responsibilities before the subcontracted work begins.
How can I discuss subcontracting work with CareBrix?
This route is specifically for organisations that want to discuss subcontracting care work to CareBrix.
